Position Summary

This Information Technology Manager position within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure department will drive future vision, strategy realization, technology roadmaps, and innovation initiatives across the Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape. This role has a focus on the delivery of business value & in maintaining a solid cybersecurity posture. Proactive engagement with peers across IT and Cybersecurity, as well as with business partners, is a core job function to effectively collaborate to mature a secure and employee centric product line of solutions.

In addition to developing and maintaining processes & metrics to ensure collaboration and continuous improvement, the successful candidate will manage the day-to day activities of a team of technical specialists and managed services providers responsible for the enterprise IAM capabilities. They will be responsible for leading the delivery of a consistent integrated architecture with a product-oriented capability focus. Managing and planning feature enhancements thru a prioritized backlog using Scaled Agile framework will be key to mature reliability, resiliency, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness - all with an end user experience orientation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities. This includes a technical team of solution architects, engineers, and operational personal, and service providers supporting enterprise capabilities.

  • Understands the overall organizational vision and collaborates with management to set team goals and establish product roadmaps in alignment with MPC’s strategic vision that translate into actionable plans at the team level.

  • Maintains a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and leads the team through periods of change and transformation. Recommends, develops, organizes, and communicates roadmaps to set priorities. Assign appropriate IT personnel to roadmap activities, monitor, and expedite activities, and oversee problem resolution.

  • Builds, collaborates, and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners, and vendors to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs. Develops continuous improvement techniques.

  • Fosters a business-oriented focus and culture, working closely with business and IT management to establish priorities and deliver solutions that best support the business needs and enable future enterprise capabilities.

  • Ensures the availability, reliability, and security of technology systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information and prevent disruptions. Identify and solve technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the area of responsibility.

  • Plan, resource, and provides direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manages the department project portfolio effectively through governance and planning processes.

  • Assists in the development and management of the department (IAM) budget, tracking expenses and actual costs throughout the year, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.

  • Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and makes recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency and knowledge sharing for effective collaboration with the client groups.

  • Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Develop, maintain, and update operational processes as capabilities mature within IT and drive adoption of Zero Trust principles

  • Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.

  • Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards to achieve “Effective” audits. Remediate any audit finding within 90 days of a report being issued. Proactively work with auditing to ensure proper Auditing controls are in place and are maintained.

  • Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management of talent to meet needs of the business.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.

  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required.

  • 3+ years of experience directly leading professional staff required.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator preferred.
