Position Summary:

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) has an opening for a Scheduling Processor within the Human Resources Department at the Mandan Refinery. This position is located in Mandan, ND.

This position reports to the Human Resources Director and will provide scheduling and payroll support services primarily to hourly employees at the facilities utilizing Indeavor and WorkForce software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains schedules for personnel (mainly hourly) ensuring compliance with Fatigue Risk Management Standard (FRMS), Collective Bargaining Agreement (as applicable), operational guidelines, and MPC pay practice policies and procedures.

  • Serves as site scheduling subject matter expert that interfaces with the scheduling system (primary) and payroll system (as needed).

  • Keeps current on policies, procedures, and laws ensuring accurate communication and execution.

  • Coordinates scheduling and timekeeping training for new hires, new supervisors, as needed.

  • Partners with HR Business Partners to coordinate hourly job bidding process, where applicable.

  • Provides administrative and clerical support for the HR Department.

  • Serves as an additional administrative resource as needed for planning key events at the facility and in the community.

  • Serves as records coordinator for the Mandan Refinery.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience, preferably in scheduling, timekeeping, or accounting systems are required.

  • Proficient with reading labor relations - union contracts is a plus.

  • Experience scheduling shift work is preferred.

    Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.

  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral.

  • Detail oriented and accurate with data entry and basic math skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Travel: Occasional travel to the Dickinson Renewable Diesel Facility.
